December 16, 2023:

The Moore County Philharmonic Orchestra performed it's 19th annual holiday concert at Pinecrest High School's R.E. Lee Auditorium,  bringing holiday cheer to the local community through it's very own community orchestra.  The MPO is directed by Mr. Eric Kopecky, and primarily comprised of students from local area high schools, Sandhills Community College, other higher ed institutions, local music educators, and adult community members.  

For me, it's such a fulfilling experience to be a part of this orchestra, not only to satiate my desire to play at the higher level of musicianship required to perform this world-class musical repertoire that dates as far back as the Baroque Era, but the inspiring knowledge that Mr. Kopecky connects with compositions and the lives of composers that the orchestra is preparing for performance.    It's also very satisfying to make such great music with so many like-minded musicians and music educators, that every rehearsal feels like a fellowship. 

The concert had a great turn out, helping the MPO raise the annual funds it needs to cover it's operational expenses, as the orchestra is a 501-C3 non-profit organization, and educational service for the community.  The concert can be viewed on The Moore Philharmonic Orchestra's YouTube page following this link:
