May 8, 2024:

The South View Middle School Orchestra performed it's Spring 2024 concert under new Director, Ernesto Rivas.  With the assistance of South View High School orchestra members to bolster the numbers of the orchestra, the concert was a great success.  The concert was a joint-performance with the middle school Chorus, and had a full-house in attendance.  

My goal as the new director, is to build this orchestra program into one of the top programs in Cumberland County, and the state of North Carolina.  I look forward to the coming years, working with incoming students to achieve this goal, along with adjudication competitions and other objectives, that will help to establish the SVMS Orchestra as a strong, viable strings program, and a wonderful music program for students to experience.
